Now, I’m not a doctor, so I’m not exactly sure what the string of letters in the title actually stands for, but it is what Trixie got at the doctor’s office today. It was my understanding she was going to get “a” shot — turned out it was four. I was only off by 300%. Fortunately, it was over pretty quickly. She was tag-teamed by two nurses who synchronized needles in each thigh at the same time, twice. Traumatic as it was, she recovered relatively quickly and is now very excited about her new Band-Aids.

My god, what have you fed Trixie in the picture posted at 3:38 today. No wonder you have used 600++ diapers. Its a good thing Isabel hit down there or you might be under investigation. On the record, I want to comment on the photos as a professional art director, my vote goes to Jennifer. Her photos are much warmer and inviting. You should raise the rates on her prints.

    CONGRATULATIONS, Trixie you scored!

Can you post some pictures of her in a dress? Like the ones we took last week end… For me and mom, it would make us happy!!! Miss you

We always appreciate comments from the professional community — we’ll try to get Jennifer to take some more shots. And yes, it’s possible to see Trixie in a dress. Keep an eye on the TPOD in the upcoming days.

Didn’t you do any research at all before getting your baby vaccinated?? I’m back and forth on whether it even makes sense to have my baby get the hepatitis B shot in the hospital (my wife is due 10.16.04). From what I’ve read, it’s more likely that my baby will have an adverse reaction to the vaccine than it is he’ll contract hepatitis B.

John: We delayed hep b b/c we figured the trauma of birth was enough for a newborn for one day and b/c there’s really no chance of contracting hep b before one is sexually active. However, it was the policy of the hospital I delivered at to give the first hep b shot shortly after birth. They did respect our wishes to delay this. They will also delay the eye drops for an hour or so if you ask and want to hold baby before (s)he receives these.

John, don’t worry. You only have a couple more weeks to stress out about things like this. After the baby is born, your brain will be so turned to mush from the lack of sleep that you won’t even attempt to grapple with complex cost/benefit problems.
