The distinction of first food goes to “rice cereal” — a questionable accolade in my opinion because it looks like mica and smells like fish food. But if people want to call it food, then I guess I’ll go along. Trixie was very interested in seeing how much we would shovel in her mouth before she tried to poke it all back out with her tongue. The main lesson for today? It’s time to get a lot more bibs.

I loved the new year baby picture. Jenn - Trixie looks a lot like you in the picture! As for the rice cereal - it is really gross! But if you mix with some breast milk, it isn’t quite so bad. Good luck - the fun is really going to start now. Hope you guys had a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!

Hi Amanda,
We’ll assume you’re talking about the resemblance in the face and not all those naked pictures of Jennifer posted all over the internet. And for the rice cereal, I thought it was understood that it is mixed with milk. The stuff is disgusting enough in sludge form. I think dry rice cereal could actually be a “Fear Factor” food challenge. You are correct about the fun starting. Watching her deliberately push every mouthful of food right back out on her chin after each bite got us laughing pretty hard. Thanks-

I wouldn’t eat that library paste either. I recommend a meal with a little more flavor, maybe General Tso chicken or possibly bratwurst.
