Goat Hug
I just can't stop posting goat TPODs. We took Trixie to the petting zoo at the state fair. It's one of those places where they let you in the pen, you get feed from the gumball machines and then the animals mob you. Trixie had a great time as long as there was only one or two goats in her personal space, as evidenced by today's picture. But once there got to be 3, 4, 5 and 6+ swarming her, she would throw up her hands and scream.

Also, someone asked about her hair color. It's turning pretty coppery.

I love the overalls, and all the agri-pics, but I can't help but wonder if you're indoctrinating her into the NC State mindset with all the agriculture exposure! ;-) Just kidding - I know you went to NC State, but I'm a UNC grad myself, so I couldn't resist...

Oh, she's so cute! I love this picture, her hair color, the orange shirt, the color of this goat. How precious. How lucky you are to have such a beautiful child, and how lucky she is that you are showing her the world.

This brings back one of my earliest memories of childhood, being mobbed by the goats at the petting zoo trying to get my ice-cream-cone full of feed from me. I tried to hold it up in the air away from them, and they all tried to climb up my body to get it - pretty scary.

One of them also ate my brother's coat.

I hope Trixie was less traumatized! She looks like she's having fun in the picture.
