Blue
This is a leftover shot from our DC/Baltimore trip, but you might recognize it from other locations across the country/world. Who knows where Trixie is? (I don't really know if this tub of balls is specific enough, but I thought I'd throw it out there. Impress me.)Photo taken October 24th, 2004. | |

For years and years the only thing I could remember about Ikea was the ballroom. Posted by: Cat at November 2, 2004 03:33 AM

Believe it or not, I actually recognize it as IKEA not only because of the balls, but the wooden frame used for the pit. I've stared at Lennon in that pit enough times to recognize that "Scandinavian architecture"~ Posted by: Lennon's Dad at November 2, 2004 01:08 PM

With all the election coverage, I couldn't help but think Trixie was making a political statement... "We're not in Kansas anymore, Toto. I think we landed in a blue state." Posted by: Pat at November 2, 2004 11:26 PM

I thought it might be a political statement too --feeling "blue" at the prospect of four more years. OK Trixie probably did not know all that when you snapped this photo. Still her serious face seems to say, "Oh no, not Ohio." Posted by: Leslie at November 3, 2004 11:22 AM

HELP!!!!!!!!???? Hello to you; first I have to tell you that I simply LOVE your site. It's incredible! way to go! keep it up and all the best to you & your beautiful little candy. Now....I would love to get your advice & all of you, new parents out there. Well..we just had our first baby girl almost two months ago. In the past week it has been so difficult to put her to sleep in her crib. She is willing to sleep in my hands or in a bouncer. As soon as she falls asleep in my hands, I put her gently in the crib and after a few minutes she realizes that, and statrs SCREAMING & crying histerically. I'm afraid to let her get used to sleep in the bouncer or next to a warm body. Do you have any good advice that might help me with her sleeping habbit? I would love your comments....I'm sooooooooo tired...... thank you in advance :) Posted by: Michelle at November 3, 2004 12:56 PM

Michelle, "The No-Cry Sleep Solution" has lots of different strategies for helping your little one sleep. I've found it very helpful with my Milo. Have you tried warming the crib first, with a hot water bottle or heating pad? Maybe try waiting a little longer before putting her down, too? Babies can drift along half-asleep for a long time. Michelle, Another great book is "The Happiest Baby on the Block" by Dr Harvey Karp. He deals specifically with what you are talking about- framed in terms of the essential S's and the fourth trimester. Easy to read and great advice and info. Posted by: Liz at November 17, 2004 09:52 AM
