Lights
Your radio station has been playing Christmas songs since Labor Day, but at the Trixie Update, we wait until December to bring out the lights.Photo taken November 28th, 2004. TTU locals: Take your kids (any age) to Morgan Imports at Brightleaf Shopping Center in Durham. They will go crazy for all the lights and the miniature village. | |

I'm so excited about the "One year ago today" feature! Wow...it really shows how much she's grown, and I can imagine how much your lives have changed in that time. Posted by: Kelli at December 1, 2004 08:58 AM

I love the new feature, she looks so tiny a year ago. My best friend had a baby in January, and I am giving her a calendar for next year, with what her baby looks like this year, so she can see how much she has grown. This new feature proves to me that this she will like the calendar. I also liked the "crying" story. The graphs and charts are superb, and they are what makes this site so unique, but I must admit that I'm a sucker for an occassional sappy story. Posted by: Elaine at December 1, 2004 09:57 AM

Hey Ben, how many pictures of Trixie would you say you take in an average day? Just curious. (BTW, love the new feature. Ah...back when the house was neat and tidy, eh?!) Posted by: michele at December 1, 2004 12:14 PM

I wish this was our tree, but we haven't put it up yet. This shot was taken at Morgan Imports. Pictures in an average day? Zero. I used to shoot every day, but it's gotten too hard now that Trixie is so active. Now I try to shoot on the weekends/evenings when Jenn is available. Posted by: benmac at December 1, 2004 01:41 PM

Actually, here's another answer: 10.6. I just checked and saw that I've shot approximately 5,200 photos since Trixie was born (but not all of her). That works out to be 10.6 shots a day (on average). Posted by: benmac at December 1, 2004 01:47 PM

The one year ago today thing is great. Isn't it weird when you compare the shots and you think back to when you wondered what they would look like at 2 (or 4 or whatever)? And then when you look at them now it just seems inevitable that they would look the way they do. Ok - that makes no sense, but in my head it's crystal clear. The "One year ago today" feature appears on the TPOD home page (www.trixieupdate.com/tpod), directly above that day's thumbnail crop. Posted by: benmac at December 1, 2004 04:45 PM
