Have you been to visit the mall Santa yet? This year I'm working as a cashier at the local mall and I'm curious as to if Trixie was a Santa fan or not. Alot of kids her age really don't seem to like the idea of sitting on the lap of a stranger in a big red suit for some reason.

What are you doing for ornaments? We have a lot of glass and ceramic ones - we've thought about just doing lights this year.

We got an inexpensive box of assorted, (hopefully unbreakable,) plastic ornaments for this year. It gives Trixie something to pull off the tree.

Classic picture! Decorating the Christmas Tree in PJ's. Adorable!

BTW, love the new OYAT feature...just can't seem to find it at times.

If there's one thing I've learned from having a bulldog puppy, it would be that many of your safety precautions translate to children rather seamlessly. I had dozens of glass ornaments passed down from my mother I couldn't bear to get rid of, so...
Part with any thin glass, especially globes. Plastic globes can still look great and practically bounce when you drop them.
No hooks! Buy a role of that cheap gold rope stuff instead.
Any thick glass or ceramic goes on top. I'd measure out about a foot over the highest reach of your child and start there. Also make sure to secure it, wrap the rope hang tie twice around to make sure, you don't want that thing slipping off. If you have a fake tree, turn the tip of the branch up at the end. Plastic and stuffed on the bottom. We have a few stores around here you can get cute ones for cheap, such as Michael's, Joanne Fabrics and the Christmas Tree Shops. Basically any crafts place will have some ready-mades.
And make sure to weigh the bottom of the tree if you go the fake route. If you can pull it over with a small amount of effort, you can bet your child or dog will in no time.

Did you move? What's all that open floor space? BTW, very cute pic and I also love the one year ago today feature.

We cut down our tree this past weekend...decorating to come and I look forward to a shot similar to this on our camera.

One question: What *is* that repeated image on Trixie's pajamas?

That's Señor Recycling, Señor Coca-Cola's less animated cousin.
