Computer = Babies
If Trixie were talking, she could easily tell you that the only thing computers are good for is displaying baby pictures. Not emailing (unless there are baby picture attachments), not word-processing (unless it's a report containing baby pictures) and certainly not web application programming (sorry Trixie, there are no baby pictures in programming).Photo taken December 18th, 2004. | |

I can't believe how much she's changed in a year (loving that 'year ago' picture). I can barely remember the kidlet being that small. Even though I have hundreds of pictures of her, the images seem to have vanished from my mind's eye. It's kind of bittersweet - you want them to grow up and become more independent and learn all the things they have to learn, and it's exciting watching them do so, but in the process you forget how they used to be when they were so small and helpless. Which is why, I suppose, we all chronicle their baby days to the extent that we do. Egads, where did that come from? How about I just say 'cute pic' and remind you that she'll be a computer geek like the rest of us before you know it! Posted by: Laura (Kidlet Chronicles) at December 21, 2004 12:50 AM

Jackson loves the "Jackson Show" on the computer. He rarely gets to see it at home since when the computers are on we are usually working, but my mom has tons of pictures in her slide show screen saver and so the "Jackson Show" is running almost constantly. When a picture of one of the other grandkids comes up he looks shocked. He also loves to bang on the keyboard but when he does we have to keep a really quick hand on the mouse to get him out of anything he gets into. Posted by: Erika at December 21, 2004 07:52 AM

Lennon believes that the computer is for Noggin.com. "See Noggin! See Noggin PLEASE!" He is also of his own pictures, but very rarely requests them .. he only enjoys them if you show them to him when he isn't crying for Noggin~ Posted by: Lennon's Dad at December 21, 2004 09:02 AM

Of course, I did not actually put the link into my post - I see the benmac gremlin is editing his user's comments to make them more useful. Posted by: DavidNYC at December 23, 2004 06:56 PM

Heh. I wonder what on earth could have given her that idea? ;) Colum, by the way, thinks the computer is for looking at tractors. When he sees photos of Trixie, he says "baby, baby!" But when he sees photos of himself on the computer, he says "You! You!" Posted by: John at December 25, 2004 04:31 PM
