She is really, really sick
If we end up going back to the doctor, I'm going to feel really bad about posting this. She has a 100 degree fever, a hacking cough and is completely miserable. She won't even eat a whole popsicle. She was doing a lot better this time last year.Photo taken January 12th, 2005. | |

Oh, poor baby! She stills looks adorable, even in her misery. Hope she's better soon. Watch out for BIDS! Posted by: Rae at January 13, 2005 12:39 AM

This is the cold du jour. Keir had it recently--dr said the fever may last 3 days! For Keir it lasted only 2, thankfully. However, Bret was not as lucky and he caught the BIDS and his fever lasted at least 3 days and let me tell you the world was going to end. Posted by: Shauna at January 13, 2005 08:02 AM

Poor little Trixie. I hope she feels much much better soon, and hope you and Jenn don't catch the crud from her. Posted by: Kelli at January 13, 2005 08:27 AM

Looking at that picture just makes me want to hug Trixie. When my granddaughter Ava was recently sick I found that if I held her cuddled on my lap I could get her to eat more. If you try it with popsicles though make sure you're not wearing something you like and cover the furniture. Posted by: Sylv at January 13, 2005 08:37 AM

Poor baby. My Kyle was like that last week & then I got BIDS. Then Kyle started getting more of his molars in & got the yucky diaper rash/diarrhea. When Kyle is sick all he wants is for me to hold him. It seems like they get over one thing & then get something else. Posted by: Heather Arellano at January 13, 2005 08:54 AM

Yikes! Looking at her sleep pattern alone, it's no wonder the poor girl looks so pitiful. I hope she feels better soon. I don't think I can handle too many more pictures of Trixie like that. :( Posted by: Becky at January 13, 2005 10:46 AM

Poor Trixie - it makes my eyes water just to look at her! We just got over being sick ourselves (no ear infections though) and it was awful. So hope she gets well SOON! Posted by: Laura at January 13, 2005 10:50 AM

Trixie, I hope you are feeling better soon! Here are wishes for a BID free household, too. Take care! Poor sweet girl! Posted by: Amy at January 13, 2005 10:57 AM

This is so pitiful! It gave me the tear-up feeling that comes to us weak-knee'd breeders, the one you wrote about a few months ago in re: sappy movies. So sorry she's feeling so rough. I bet she'll be better soon - babies usually tend to motor through these illnesses w/just a couple of really bad days. Take care. Posted by: old school hannah at January 13, 2005 02:45 PM
