Over Yonder
While not evident in this shot, Trixie tormented Jenn from atop the haystack. She tottered and wobbled without any sense of caution while poor Jenn ran circles around the base trying to spot her.Photo taken February 5th, 2005. | |

Okay, what is the thumbnail a reference to? It's a painting or a movie or something, but I can't quite remember . . . Posted by: hannah at February 8, 2005 09:47 AM

David: (Is that you DavidNYC?) You know the site better than me. thanks for the link :) hannah: I wasn't thinking of anything in particular when I cropped it, but now that you mention it, it does look familiar. I don't know why though. Maybe someone else recognizes it, and can chime in. Posted by: benmac at February 8, 2005 10:09 AM

About the thumbnail: This goes *way* back, but I'm reminded of the Karate Kid. Ahhh, another trip to Maple View Farm. If I'm ever in NC, I'm going to have to visit this beautiful place...and have ICE CREAM! Posted by: lori at February 8, 2005 10:25 AM

Or maybe Children of the Corn? She looks so cute, NC looks so beautiful! I'm jealous (I live in OK but I'm from CO.) Did she climb up to the top of the haystack by herself? Posted by: Valerie at February 8, 2005 12:56 PM

ok, how do i make a link in a post not look like a link, but like text? it drives me crazy to post a bunch of messy url junk. what is the secret? that was a genius move on david's part. Posted by: haeshu at February 8, 2005 02:52 PM

I should add instructions right above the comment window because this isn't the first time someone has asked. In the meantime, here's how you do it: typing The Trixie Update gives you: The Trixie Update In other words: Posted by: benmac at February 8, 2005 03:13 PM

Ben, Thanks for the How to Link Stuff instructions. I always thought YOU had to add that for us (I know you've done it for me in the past). Hope this gives you even more free time! If you don't mind, I'd like to test it too... P.S. Do I sense a future poll for Favorite TPOD's here? Posted by: lori at February 8, 2005 07:02 PM

Ben, I guess you could say I know the site pretty well, but I am not DavidNYC. Just a guy out in the burbs of Chicago who has been visiting and commenting since Trixie was 5 months old. I sometimes leave my email as someone@somewhere.com because I am trying to avoid spam. My wife and I started trying in early 2004 and I was really interested in other Dads who seemed to feel the way I do, that I was truly excited about playing a bigger role in the lives of their children then some other men do. Your site has really been an inspiration and your little girl will have a great bond with you forever because of the close role you have played in her life. My wife suffered a miscarriage in late May of 2004 but I am so excited to say we are expecting our first, a little girl, in mid-June and everything is going perfect. I will continue to enjoy your site as long as it exists and hope to soon be able to use your software for my new daughter. Posted by: David at February 8, 2005 07:10 PM

I haven't been to the site in a while, so I was trying to catch up and I realize that I'm a little bit late, but I figured that others would do the same as me, so here's my favorite: LOVE THIS ONE!!! Posted by: Anaiyah at March 1, 2005 06:48 PM

Just browsing & came across this TPOD. I had the same experience chasing my 3-year-old around a jungle gym today at the park. I didn't want to go up for fear of denying him his independence, but wow, that's a long way down when you're just under 3 feet tall! Posted by: Suzanne at March 13, 2005 08:47 PM
