In case anyone ever thought that FrumDad doesn't rock, you were wrong! I really needed to laugh - thanks! Elaine It's one of those 19-point harnesses that goes around the legs and neck. Posted by: benmac at April 27, 2005 09:43 AM

That's precious. I love the gentle care Trixie has in petting Albert's face. Me, I still have to hold myself back from rubbing a cat's belly. And our kitty is always tempting me! And it's not a pretty sight when I try... Posted by: lori at April 27, 2005 10:24 AM

Actually, I thought Albert looked quite relaxed - seems to be enjoying this on some level. Posted by: Judy at April 27, 2005 10:48 AM

look real close--Albert is spreading his toes--how cute. I can't remember if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I'm hoping it's a "this feels so good can you get behind the ear" good thing. Posted by: samantha at April 27, 2005 10:57 AM

cats in trixies life are lucky...in our house (3 cats and a puppy) aiden lays on top of them and hugs them while singing 'Awwwwwwwwwwww". needless to say our cats hide most of the time. Posted by: aidens momma at April 27, 2005 01:14 PM

In our house, our 20-month-old does ride poor Alex, the large tabby cat. He takes it well though since he's still bigger than her and likes the attention!! He's 18 pounds....... (the cat not the baby.) Posted by: Kimberley at April 27, 2005 02:05 PM

Perry loves cats (his first word was kitty, or rather "diddy"), but he gets so excited they all run away. It looks like Trixie has mastered "gentle", and more importantly, doesn't shriek in delight at the mere sight of a cat. Albert doesn't know how good he has it. Am I the only one who thinks the cat looks like a mountain lion or similar? Posted by: Valerie at April 27, 2005 07:39 PM

Valerie, I also thought it was some wildish animal from the thumbnail and had a second of 'what kind of petting zoo is that!?' when i opened the picture until things clicked into focus. (I looked at the picture right after waking up...) Posted by: Carabeth at April 27, 2005 07:52 PM

I had a kitty harness like that, I used it when we bred rabbits. There was one bunny that was a runt so we couldn't keep it with the others. He was my pet so I bought the kitty harness to walk him around the neiborhood. I was like 10 years old or something but I loved the attention of walking my bunny on a leash. years later I had a pet chicken... i tried taking it for a walk but it didn't work. heh! Is Albert Trixie's pet? If not, Trixie needs a pet! The only thing cuter than a kiddo is a kiddo and a pet. :) Posted by: at April 27, 2005 08:08 PM

one more thing, Lori, you need a cat like mine, she loves when i pet her belly. Sometimes she'll pretend to bite me but usually she just relaxes. and every once in a great while when she sleeps with me she'll let me put my cold foot under her warm soft belly. LOL that sounds so weird. Posted by: Nina at April 27, 2005 08:12 PM

Is Trixie a Trekkie fan?? It looks like she's trying out that Spock, Vulcan mind melding thingy! Posted by: Timothy at April 27, 2005 09:36 PM

She hasn't seen much Trek yet, but she caught a glimpse of a Wookie on Empire the other day and got really upset. BTW, you read FrumDad's comment above, right? Posted by: benmac at April 27, 2005 09:41 PM

Ben: my 2 year old saw Yoda on TV the other day and she freaked, backed away from the TV in fear, muttering to herself - I thought she'd be afraid of Chewie, too, but no, just Yoda, and a little bit afraid of R2D2 too. I guess Empire isn't for toddlers. Posted by: Nay at April 28, 2005 08:16 AM
