do you ever make your pics brown. darn what the term....oohhh ohhh sepia tone!! That's it. I like how you go from color to black and white tho, I'm just curious if maybe you don't like sepia or just didn't think to use it or I dunno. Posted by: Nina at May 3, 2005 07:46 PM

Nina: Valid question. I don't use sepia tone because I think of it as just an effect. I process most TPODs to correct for colors and lighting. I also sometimes convert to B/W because it's a formal way to focus on values and patterns. But sepia starts to head down the path of just playing around with effects in Photoshop. And if I started playing around with all the Photoshop filters then I think things would get goofy awfully quick. We're talking a motion blurred Trixie rendered in cross-hatching with inverted channels and poster edges and lens flares. Lots of lens flares. Posted by: benmac at May 3, 2005 08:13 PM

Without the sound and motion of real time and only the photos of Trixie she certainly never seems to be only 20 months old to observers of the site. Posted by: Debi at May 3, 2005 09:49 PM

ok ben, I know exactly what your talking about, I'm making an invation for my sisters bridal shower and I took a pic of bride and groom and spent an hour or so trying out all the effects. I think the end result is probably goofy now that you mention it. Sheesh! Ok I'll simplify, it works so well for you!! :P Posted by: Nina at May 6, 2005 05:59 PM
