I'm looking at Trixie's poor little knees, all boo-booed up! She didn't get into some poison ivy, did she?

I absolutely love this website!! I have a 17 month old son and this website has been very helpful. Trixie is such a little doll! I am so envious of all these outdoor photos. We live in AZ and it is way too hot to play outside now. We actually have a heat advisory today from 10am to 8pm!! Anyway, thank you for allowing all of us into your life and all the help this website has given especially to us first time moms!!!

Dave: She will repeat just about any word now. As far as words that she likes to use on her own, the color "ellow" is up there.

Angela: Gin and juice. Or watered-down apple juice. Depends on the day.

nobody: Trixie has a bunch of skinned knees. But that's nothing compared to what she did to her forehead today. I had to take her to the doctor to see if she needed stitches.

Darla: Thank you so much. I'm glad you like the site, and that it's been useful. Stay cool. We have family in AZ and visited in July in 2000. I was ready to die.

What happened to Trixie's forehead?? Does she need stitches?

No, she's fine - no stitches. She was running and took a dive on the front steps (which are concrete) and gashed her forehead. It was small, but you wouldn't believe how much blood there was. Her hair was matted with it, and it was running down her face Carrie-style.

I cleaned the cut out and was a little concerned that one part was too deep, but it turned out to be ok. She's fine now.

Poor Trixie... glad to hear it is okay after all.

I know what a slim little thing she is, but here she looks absolutley chubby!!

Urgh, isn't it awful when they fall?! My son runs and runs around all day. Needless to say he keeps tripping over his (big) feet and every time it makes my heart stop - I have this internal film just spooling off in my head: broken teeth, split lip, hole in the head, stone in an eye... most of the time things are good but every once in a while *&^%$#@
Glad to hear Trixie's fall wasn't as bad as it seemed at first!

Yeah, head wounds always are huge bleeders...glad she's okay - and feel better soon, Trixie!

I hope you didn't take a picture of Trixie's gorey "carrie like" head. I use to be able to handle that stuff but as I get older I'm much more squemish when it comes to blood and gore. I use to get banged up alot and could handle if I happend to see my bone poke thru my skin or what have you.
I hope the squemishness goes away when I have kids otherwise if I were in your situation I'd probably cry more than poor trixie and I wouldn't know what to do.

I'm glad she's ok!

Poor Trixie!! Glad to hear she is going to be ok. I am still amazed that kids live through their toddler years! It seems like my son is tripping over everything and somehow he manages to get back up just to do it again! AMAZING!!!!
