Another great smile, and I LOVE the bandaid! Definitely fashion-forward!

It looks like it's probaby as hot there as it is here, I wish it were possible for adults to go about their day without their shirts on without it being taboo! We'd all be a lot happier and cooler, like Miss Trixie here.

So does this mean you can pinpoint the age she reached a certain consciousness/knowledge about the relationship between her smiling for the camera and the picture that comes out? Wonder how long it will take for her to get to the self conscious stage where she'll tell you not to take her picture? (usually teen years and older)

I'm impressed with Trixie's design and construction skills.

My 13-month old has graduated from dumping out the bin of Legos and putting them in her mouth to more carefully picking them out and placing them back in the bin--still no construction though :)

Maddie started giving us the cheesy grin for photos in December. It still continues, but I can occasionally sneak a truly candid pic. You just have to become stalker-dad.

I photograph my friends' kids sometimes, and they seem to all reach a stage where "look at the camera" means "huge grin + eyes closed". I can still get in candid shots, but I can't get a smile for the camera with open eyes.

My daughter, Cassidy, does the same thing and even says "Cheese!".

My problem is that whenever Rachel sees the digital camera, she wants to see the pictures of the baby (her), so whatever she was doing stops and I get three shots of her walking towards me with her hand out and then one or two of her left eye and nostril which she snaps (accidentally) herself.

FrumDad,I hear ya - my son does the same thing. At least he isn't into kising the image yet, something he does when he sees himself in the mirror. Talk about self love.
