Wow, the twins (20 months) arent AT ALL ready for big boy beds! Trixie's sure is a keeper though! I love the mixed look of excitement and terror on her face! I'm sure she loves it though, oh Trixie, a big girl bed before 2 years old, you sure are growing up fast! But Ben, I must ask, is that a twin sized bed, or a full sized bed? It looks like a full since there are two pillows, maybe so she doesnt fall off? Posted by: Melissa at June 20, 2005 06:48 AM

It's a twin bed. I just piled up the pillows for Trixie so it would feel cozier. The sheets are Isaac Mizrahi from Target (they were 75% off clearance!) Posted by: jen/mom at June 20, 2005 08:42 AM

My oldest (now almost 3) went to a big girl bed at 20 months and she would've fallern right out without her "rail" we bought at TRU to hold her in...how does she not fall out?? Posted by: 2 girl mama at June 20, 2005 10:24 AM

So how is she doing in her new bed? I see that she woke up a few times the last few nights, is she scared or is she dealing with it OK? Posted by: Valerie at June 20, 2005 10:58 AM

remember Trixie started climbing out of her crib months and months ago, and Ben I think was forced to remove the rail for her safety. I suspect she is staying in bed without falling out by now, although perhaps the Big Girl bed could throw that off. Posted by: Dave at June 20, 2005 11:51 AM

Do you have red or pink sheets for when she sleeps with elmo? I like cookie way better than elmo so I'm glad to see him! Actually grover is my favorite... did I mention I don't have kids. Is that sad? Yea it probably is because if I happen to catch it on tv I will actually sit and watch it. I love those dang muppets! Posted by: Nina at June 20, 2005 01:21 PM

WOW, GREAT deal! I love the bed, and seeing that its just a twin, that proves that Trixie isnt growing up TOO fast, still a toddler! I love the cookie monster, but my boys are big ELMO fanatics, you name a product, I can bet you that we have it in Elmo... Hope Trixie adjusts to the new bed okay, I want to see how it works out, maybe the boys are ready for big beds too? Posted by: Melissa (again) at June 20, 2005 01:45 PM

Valerie: Trixie really likes the big girl bed. She has woken up a few times in the middle of the night lately, but I don't think it's related to the bed. 2 girl mama: We push her little green chair against the side of the bed after she goes to sleep. We also did this with the crib after we had to take the side railing off (for reasons Dave mentioned above). It's enough to keep her from rolling off. Most days. cj: Frank is in Las Vegas. We received a smeared, poorly-written postcard, reeking of bourbon. He seems to be doing fine. Posted by: benmac at June 20, 2005 01:56 PM

hey ben. its me, amanda and charlies's sister. have not commented in awhile but still check in every day. just a quick note to say that trixie is getting so big so fast! when they (your children) are with you all day, you tend not to notice so much but with following the site since trixie was born, it just amazes me how much kids change in such a short amount of time. it seems like yesterday that callie was getting HER big girl bed and here she is starting kindergarten. they just grow up too fast. Nina, don't feel bad for still watching kiddy shows. I still watch Sesame Street when I get the chance. Just today I found a tape with old episodes of 'Eureeka's Castle' and 'The Elephant Show' from when I was little and I was kept busy for hours. :) Posted by: Aubrey at June 20, 2005 08:55 PM

Loved today's picture. We just moved Cassidy (26 months) into her big girl bed about 2 weeks ago. The transition has been much smoother than it was with my boys. Hope Trixie continues to enjoy her big girl bed. Posted by: Amy W at June 20, 2005 10:05 PM
