I'm from around your area and I wanted to let you know, if you've never been to Kure Beach, you should definitely check it out. Kure is a cute little town and the beach has no shells, so it's great for walking around. Thought I'd comment, have a great Monday! Posted by: Megan at June 27, 2005 12:05 AM

I am SOOOO jealous! That is what a beach is supposed to look like, the sand and surf and a little girl in a bikini. She looks like the Water Babies model. I live in landlocked, dry Oklahoma....haven't seen the beach in years. Enjoy every moment you have there! You guys seem to have such a great life. Posted by: Valerie at June 27, 2005 12:14 AM

I just went to Ocean Isle Beach near Wilmington. It is a good beach for families, as it is nice and quiet, and a fun place to be on a nice sunny day. Posted by: Rose at June 27, 2005 12:20 AM

This makes me even more excited about my trip to the ocean with my (to be) 15 month and 3 month old. The older sister is going to love walking around on the beach. Is Trixie getting ready to throw a stone/shell in the ocean? She seems a bit far from the water if that's her goal. Posted by: Jeremiah Lee at June 27, 2005 06:49 AM

Oh my! We were just at Wrightstville Beach this past weekend too....and almost in the very same location....we could have had a Trixie sighting! I have a little girl, Landry, who was 1 in February so I jump out to your site each day to see what is to come. I also have a 4 year old little boy...but they are SOOO very different :) Posted by: Christine at June 27, 2005 07:57 AM

We were at Wrightsville (at the beach access area near the Wings). Trixie had a good time in the sand, but she was pretty terrified of the waves. Posted by: benmac at June 27, 2005 10:03 AM

We love the beach here in TX (okay, part of the beach - the further East you go, you get in the murkiness of the Mississippi - and it isn't called "mud" for nothin'!) - glad you got to enjoy it! Posted by: Judy at June 27, 2005 11:06 AM

I live in the Ocean state, plenty of beaches but ya know they're east coast beaches... I'm not complaining or anything. Btw, Her bikini is so cute. Are the bottoms shorts or one of those where its shorts but theres fabric over it to make like a skirt. Too cute! Lucky chic! Posted by: Nina at June 27, 2005 01:20 PM

My wife Susan and daughter Ella (1 year 10 months old today) Stayed at the Hanover Seaside club on the same beach a short while ago. According to Ella those are particularly scary and unpredictable waves. One minute you are throwing shells and the next thing you know you have cold wet feet. Thanks for the site. My wife in particular has enjoyed the comrodery in having similar aged children and experiences. Jared Posted by: Jared Andersson at June 27, 2005 03:36 PM
