Looks like a great time to me! Hope Trixie enjoyed the 4th of July - she looks cautiously enthralled in the picture!

Ahh, to live in NC with liberal fireworks laws. I have fond childhood memories of summer vacations on the Outer Banks where we shot off all kinds of fun fireworks that we can't have at home: tanks, spinners, roman candle-y things, cones, you name it!

It's illegal to have a certain class of fireworks here where I live but people do it anyway. We live in RI so all you have to do is drive half an hour south to CT and get legal gigantic perfessional looking fireworks or half an hour north to Mass. This means walking around my neighborhood from the first day of summer until early this morning, you'll see the greatest fireworks displays.

I'm bragging again. I hope Trixie saw some really pretty fireworks last night.

It is $1,000 fine here for possession of any sort of fireworks. Even sparklers! We live in the west in an area of extreme fire danger. Trixie looks like she is questioning your wisdom in playing with explosives... Smart kid!! None-the-less, it looks like fun!
