Make your own cupcake
TTU Locals: Even though The Mad Hatter's in Durham is slightly overpriced, the kid's meal comes with an unbelievable make-your-own-cupcake spread, complete with a wrapped up funnel of icing. Unfortunately, getting a table is next to impossible. The place is infested with Duke students -- each one takes over a 4-person table and camps out for hours with a laptop nursing a cup of coffee. Haven't they ever heard of a f*king Starbucks???

Lol... I'm from Kentucky, but my younger brother, David, is going to be a senior at Duke next year (the traitor!)... though they'd much prefer a bar, he has talked about going there before and how great the food was.
You'll have to go to the Red Lobster there in Durham... he's a waiter :O)

As for the picture, Trixie looks so very grown up... I see she's getting well prepared for that birthday cake!!

It's amazing how grown up she looks! And I am still amazed at how much you two look alike!! Just that little glimpse of you looks like it could be Trixie! And of course, she IS WAY CUTER!! ;)

A little side note on the potty training....I just got Em fully trained(well, except at night) in a week! Amazing, but true. I decided to just try it out full force. We've had 2 pee accidents. I think the major motivator for her was a sticker book. One page for going potty, one for wiping, flushing, washing, drying. We also got a little door knob thing that says she's doing business. The only thing we've had to really do is ask her, let her say "no", then take her on in anyway. Good luck!

Well, Ben, what do you EXPECT from Dook students? I mean, really... ;-)

Miss Trixie is looking quite grown up in this pic. I love the cherries on her dress.

Mmmmm!!! Looks like breakfast to me!

I am impressed that you are styling the hair, Ben. Way to be a GOOD DADDY! Thank goodness I have boys, otherwise I'd have ratty-haired girls when Dad was in charge!

For Ems Momma: Did you just stay at home the entire week? If not, what did you do when you went out and about? Maddie is trained at home when she's naked. (As a friend says, "Who isn't?") I really don't want to take her out like that!

And, Ben...off topic, but: Whenever Maddie and I read *Knuffle Bunny*, she talks about the pictures of Trixie on the computer. Apparently, she thinks the book is about your Trixie!

Maddie's Mom-
Actually, I am a stay at home mom, pregnant with number two. But to answer your question, I put her on the potty to "try" so we don't have an accident in the car. I bring an extra change of clothes and panties, and then take her to the potty as soon as we get where we're going. It's worked pretty well. We went to Grandma's, Target, the SPCA, McDonald's, and my doctor's office in one day and had no accidents!! And she only went potty at the SPCA and my doctor's office. I just suggest also bringing a towel in case there is an accident in the car seat so at least Maddie will have something dry to sit on! Good luck!

This photo is so precious....the determined look on Trixie's face while you do her hair is too, too much. I love when my husband does my kids' hair......so sweet!
