What exactly are those colorful items. Paint? Can we expect a picture of her artwork soon?

Wow - this is one of my favorites. I love that her shirt matches the paint. Great one, benmac.

Does she seem to have a color preference yet? Or is it really pink, as you've sort of led us to believe? ;-)

I strongly suspect Ben picks her outfits to coordinate with whatever activity she is going to be doing that day....its happened too many times to be a coincidence :-) Great pic.
What are those beehive like containers anyway...?

They are little pots of finger paint.

Kelli: Despite all the pink, her favorite might actually be yellow. But it's hard to get a straight answer out of her.

Along the lines of the recipes for non-toxic play dough, does anyone make non-toxic finger paint and are willing to share the recipe? After nearly 18 months, it's still too much temptation to not taste something new.

Cynelaine-
We use vanilla pudding (with food coloring added to make the various shades) for finger paint. My 2-yr old licks everything in sight, so this works well.

Another cool summer activity is to have paint brushes and buckets of water, then go around outside and literally paint the town! My son loves to "paint" our house, the trees, the fence, himself!

Wow, what a great forum for creative ideas for kids! I'll have to write these down for when my son and future kids get older. Thanks everyone for all the ideas!
