Sitting in the Pump Truck
I don't know why she's not happier to be behind the wheel. It used to be one of her favorite things.

Perhaps she's just a bit worried about what she'll do once she gets to the fire... Couldn't the first alarm have been a simple kitten in a tree?

Maybe she's concentrating on her reverse skills? Or, perhaps she's anticipating the loud noisy sire that usually accompanies these beauties...my son loves fire trucks, but not up close - too noisy!

I bet she's "an excellent driver..." Remember that from Rain Man? Hilarious. Maybe she's heard the same horrible stories I've heard about wrecks lately and she's a bit nervous. Did you hear about the 3 year old (I think that was his age) who drove the car down the street from where he lived a few months ago? Oh my goodness. Hide the keys now! I can totally see Trixie making an icecream run!

Hey, as an ex-EMS'er, I can tell you that emergency vehicle operations is all serious business. And I appreciate Trixie taking the job with the requisite level of concentration!

I mean, come on, do you KNOW how hard it is to back one of these things up? It appears she's just having trouble seeing behind her. And I'm guessing that there's a parental unit distracting her as well.

Give the girl some credit! :)

"Look at this crazy guy behind me. Overtaking on a bend, darnit!"

Someone obviously moved the seat and was too inconsiderate to move it back to Trixie's specifications. I doubt that pump trucks have automatic reset.
