I see Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz here! You can see it, but she's belting out "Over the Rainbow" too! A new fave among the TPODs! Posted by: Steph at August 30, 2005 12:36 AM

This picture kind of creeps me out for some reason, probably because, as the title indicates, it reminds me of "Children of the Corn." Also, it looks like her dress is on backwards, so it kind of looks like her head is spun around... or maybe I need to get some sleep. Anyway, it's cute nonetheless, makes me realize fall is upon us. My first reaction was that of Steph - totally Dorothy, but after reading Valerie's comment I am too freaked out to look at the picture any more! Posted by: LisaB/MA at August 30, 2005 01:23 AM

It's just like the game 'King of the hill' and lots of kids all over the hay...no need to be afraid of cute little Trixie. Posted by: Laughing at ya'll at August 30, 2005 01:25 AM

I must admit that my first thought was "Children of the Corn" and "this is a wee bit creepy"... but mainly because of the title Now I must go on to say... I have never looked at hay or cornfields or anything having to deal with the like the same way since I read that story... some would even say it scared the living daylights out of me. So if you don't mind... a little less haystacks and a little more ice cream!... k? :O) Otherwise it really is a beautiful picture :oP Posted by: Rachel at August 30, 2005 01:39 AM

Keir will be so happy to see that they have added a new haystack at Maple View. Love the picture! Posted by: Shauna at August 30, 2005 08:12 AM

Have to agree with Valerie after reading her post. But my first thought when I saw the pic was "Benmac just continues to impress me". What an awesome picture. Posted by: MrsB at August 30, 2005 10:07 AM

Because it looks like her little hand is fidgeting makes me think she is troubled. LOL But what REALLY scares me is the fact that it looks as though she's standing backwards on the edge of a cliff and if she leans back at all she will fall forever. Posted by: Jessica at August 30, 2005 10:32 AM

Ok, trying to look past the terrible feeling of her falling I now think she just stumbled upon a family and their home in the middle of nowhere. This really does look like a scene from a movie. LOL Great shot! Posted by: Jessica at August 30, 2005 10:37 AM

I have to agree with what several have said already. I think it's the angle of the photo that gets me. Since it's taken from down low, from the monster's perspective as he crawls ominously throught the field, I find myself worrying that our poor Trixie will be carried away in the next scene... I love it! She is so adorable, even when you can't see her face! Yesterday I noticed that Trixie really likes ice cream, and today I've noticed that Trixie also has a blast playing with piles of hay! Posted by: Aly at August 30, 2005 11:48 AM

I agree that it's a beautiful shot, I didn't mean to offend anyone by my previous post. I guess it had that effect on my because it is such a great shot! It also reminds me of the little girl in "Signs". Ben, if you ever go back to work, you should go into movies, you obviously have a keen eye! Posted by: Valerie at August 30, 2005 02:16 PM

I'm with Valerie. What I thought of straight away was "Signs". I think this photo may have contributed to my nightmares last night about it being the end of the world. Posted by: Margie at August 30, 2005 09:21 PM
