She's happy in this shot, but when she first saw the missing sidewalk she was a little upset.

Are all these pictures of construction our tax dollars at work? If so, I'm happy that they're benefitting lil miss Trixie! Posted by: Valerie at August 31, 2005 12:16 AM

Looks like line dancing to me - she would be a really great crowd pleaser at this age if she was doing that. She would have lots of company if she was clogging in your part of the world - at least a few years ago that was the case. She does look like she is having the fun even if she is not actually dancing. LOL Posted by: LOL at August 31, 2005 01:54 AM

Yes, how could you? You're teaching her that it's OK to go across law enforcement boundaries. This will only teach her to not respect authority, thereby turning her into a great dissident, labor leader, or other non-conformist. The horror. Posted by: Ray at August 31, 2005 09:10 AM

You need to put her little footprints in when you pour the new sidewalk. Posted by: Adrienne at August 31, 2005 10:51 AM

I agree with Adrienne - make sure you get her out there before the cement sets and make a print...those are the best kinds of sidewalks! Posted by: Judy at August 31, 2005 11:17 AM

Jessica; Why are you trying to steal Trixie's thunder? Posted by: at August 31, 2005 11:34 AM

? In this one I'm picturing her as a dainty little one. That's ok! She may not want to get her pretty little shoes dirty! :) No thunder stealing here :) Posted by: Jessica at August 31, 2005 12:14 PM

It looks like she's practicing her runway walk the way she has one foot directly in front of the other. Posted by: Brandi at August 31, 2005 12:40 PM

My 2 year old would *flip* at the missing sidewalk. He gets very upset at such atrocities. Glad Trixie had fun, even if it does mean a future life of crime. Posted by: Nancy at August 31, 2005 10:07 PM

I remember doing that walk on the place where new concrete was going to be poured when I was little. I would walk around on the uneven dirt and try to make the dirt "creases" smooth out for no apparent reason. Posted by: Joshua at September 1, 2005 01:31 PM

Where is the kid deep down in each of us that played in/on/around something they knew they weren't supposed to? Benmac was just showing Trixie about the missing sidewalk and like most parents probably took the time to explain about the roped off area being a no-no. Give them a break and enjoy the site.
