I agree, she's definitely been handed down the visual-spatial talents. And there's nothing better to encourage her creativity than lots and lots of blank paper. I wonder how much she really uses that nice stack of coloring books. My 10 y/o never liked those.
Ditto what Monica said - pretty amazing fine motor, spatial awareness (filling up paper), use of color.

I have to agree with Monica, too. Emily only scribbles straight lines, never circular. And she won't use up a whole page, either. You'll have to get her in some art classes at Gymboree or something. She's definitely showing talent!!

Holy crap! Trixie is a prodigy! That is unbelievable for her age, and so pretty too. Wow. Are you sure you didn't do those yourself, benmac, (or actually they look more like Jenn's artwork), and then pose Trixie w/them?
I doubt anyone would remember but I had commented that Ben should teach trixie to draw round shapes because its more fun than scribbling straight lines. Yep yep, I knew it, it is more fun isn't it.
