Trixie in the Smithsonian. Wow. I think I always knew she'd end up in there eventually, but I always figured her as an Air & Space kinda girl. Posted by: Rob at October 28, 2005 12:21 AM

Didn't she go to the Air & Space Museum this time last year? Posted by: Michele at October 28, 2005 01:05 AM

Yep. Looks like she did. The cosmic balance has been restored. Posted by: Rob at October 28, 2005 01:45 AM

Having recently been to the Natural History museum, that "chair-thing" made me immediately remember being there. That's probably the most memorable item from that museum -- (which looked like most of it hadn't been updated since 1974). Posted by: brian at October 28, 2005 10:34 AM

Brian, don't dis the Smithsonians and their out of date decor. They don't charge admission and it isn't exactly the government's top budget priority. All things considered, I think they are doing pretty well. As a side note, the Natural History Mueseum is my personal favorite, although the Air & Space Museum has better IMAX shows. :) Posted by: becky at October 28, 2005 02:19 PM

Those look like rhinoceros to me. Herbivores--dangerous ones, but still unlikely to eat you. Unless you were prechewed, or at least cut up into nice little pieces like Mommy used to make. Posted by: skeptic at October 28, 2005 06:13 PM

OUTSTANDING! It has been so long since I've been to the Smithsonian -- going to have to plan a trip with the boys one day! Posted by: Judy at October 29, 2005 12:37 PM

Skeptic - The sign behind the display looks like it says "Tapir", which is also would have a hard time eating an active little girl. But skeletons are cool and sometimes scary, so I can imagine that some speculation on "could it eat Trixie?" might be going through her mind. Posted by: bex at November 1, 2005 03:46 PM
