Cute sheets - do they work? I may have to invest in a few sets myself if they do (I hate to tell you, but my son is 6 and we still have issues with early morning interruptions! Nip it NOW!). Posted by: Judy at November 22, 2005 12:24 AM

Are they magic sheets? ;) If not, i'm not sure how they are supposed to keep her sleeping there in the am? Let us know if they work! Posted by: Summer at November 22, 2005 12:26 AM

I'm sure those sheets will work fine. All you're missing is a hammer and a box of nails. Just as soon as you say goodnight, you nail the sheet to her door frame. Problem solved. Posted by: ShotgunDaddy at November 22, 2005 12:37 AM

Cute pic... But not quite getting drift on this one. Is there Velcro all around the sheets to keep Trixie in her bed at 6:00 am ? OR are they just so comfy, she just can't bear to leave? Posted by: Debi at November 22, 2005 01:48 AM

Looks like she slept a little bit later this morning... maybe the flannel sheets worked! Posted by: Heather at November 22, 2005 08:37 AM

I suspect that the idea was to make the bed more warm and comfy so that Trixie wouldn't feel the need to hop in bed with Mom & Dad to be warm and comfy in the morning. Love the sheets! Posted by: Kelli at November 22, 2005 09:00 AM

Ben-does she come into your bed and fall back asleep or come to wake you up? Ours both end up in our bed around 5-6am but they cuddle in and fall back asleep for an hour or so...we LOVE it becasue we know there will someday be a day when they will either be too big or too cool to snuggle with mom and dad...we try to cherish the warm baby snuggles! Now, if shes waking you up....thats a different story! :) Posted by: 2 girl mama at November 22, 2005 10:01 AM

I bet if you added a down comforter to those warm fuzzy sheets, she would sleep in until noon! I know I would. Posted by: Marie at November 22, 2005 10:52 AM

We've just begun dealing with this ourselves, though it's 6:30am, which isn't quite as bad as 6. He wants his diapy changed, so unfortunately there's not much we can do to keep him in his room. Posted by: Nancy at November 22, 2005 11:14 AM

Trixie never wants to snuggle in the morning. She barges into our room and starts howling "GET UPPPPPP!" The idea behind the flannel sheets is to make her bed so cozy she won't even consider getting out of it. To increase the bed/out-of-bed temperature differential, we're setting the thermostat way down at night. It seems to have worked the past 2 mornings! Posted by: benmac at November 22, 2005 11:21 AM

What my mom did for my brother and I to curb our waking them up was...put our breakfast/juice/whatever where we could get it and before going to bed at night turn the TV to a channel with cartoons...and they stressed the importance of not waking mommy and daddy up before 9 or 10....and only if it was an emergency...they started this when we were 2 and it worked...they also went over all the house rules with us as well :-) Posted by: at November 22, 2005 01:04 PM

I see now why you are annoyed!!! My girls both sleep until 8 0r 8:15 consistantly...I know i'm lucky, but being a SAHM we don;t have to get up and be anywhere and daddy leaves for the office before we even wake up! I can;t imagine them waking up at 6!! Posted by: 2 girl mama at November 22, 2005 01:27 PM

OMG! I HAVE THOSE SHEETS IN BLUE!!!! I love them .. Trixie looks as though she loves them as well. Her bed looks huge though for such a lil girl. Posted by: Jess at November 22, 2005 02:18 PM

I love those sheets. My fave color is pink and the snowmen are just too cute! I wouldn't want to put a down comforter over it because its so festive. Where did you get them? My first guess is target. I haven't seen them there but if they are from target I'll be thrilled. I probably wont buy them but the thought of possibly buying them would be great. Posted by: Nina at November 23, 2005 11:00 PM
