Safety razor is a relative term
Trixie tried to shave. No harm done, it's already healed. The massive band aid was just to keep some Neosporin on.

When I saw the thumbnail, I thought, rut-roh, this can't be good, and then on first glance at the photo, I thought she was in the hospital! I'm relieved to know it was a "minor incident"...darn those razors! Posted by: Judy at November 29, 2005 12:43 AM

It's funny that my kids have never been interested in my razor. They love watching me, and always insist on having a dab of shaving cream on the tips of their noses, but no has tried shaving yet... I'd cross my fingers, but I see that Trixie's already doing it for me. Posted by: ShotgunDaddy at November 29, 2005 02:13 AM

Now, when all of us were pre-children, dreaming of babies and how life would be with them, could we ever have imagined all those little crises they would bring along for the ride? haha....From the crop, I thought she had gotten into the packing tape! Posted by: jj at November 29, 2005 06:33 AM

For those worried about Trixie's cute little face, relax. We saw the fantastic crew over the weekend and didnt notice any razor nicks! Posted by: Shauna at November 29, 2005 07:28 AM

Yikes, I bet that was a scary moment. Poor thing. Despite the massive bandage, she looks absolutely beautiful in this photo. She looks like such a "little girl" -- as opposed to a baby! And as always, love those eyes. Posted by: Heather at November 29, 2005 10:51 AM

Bless her little heart! When I was little I wanted to shave like my daddy, too and well...I did! LOL I sympathize with Trixie on this one! :o) Posted by: K Ryan at November 29, 2005 12:28 PM

Funny, I had a similar yet opposite incident last weekend - my 2-year-old son getting into my makeup. At least the traces of eyeshadow on his cheek were easily removed. (BTW, this is my first comment; love your site). Posted by: Joan at November 29, 2005 12:54 PM

In reality the cut does not require anywhere near that large a bandage, Ben is just preparing Ms. Trixie for the starring role in the Toddler production of Phantam of The Opera. Posted by: jennspapa at November 29, 2005 02:54 PM

Colum's Mommy has a scar on her face from a similar incident, though she waited until she was six to try it. Posted by: John (Colum's Dad) at November 29, 2005 10:34 PM
