Have you tried sticking a peppermint stick in an orange for her? If you get the straight, really porous sticks and poke them into an orange, they work like a straw - my son LOVES this as a special treat!

Trixie is pretty.

I think it is time to start begging Ben for a new home page story. We know he has been so busy (no photos yet in '06?????) It doesn't have to be long or have any charts, just something (even just a quick hello) so that the date can change from July 31, 2005. Maybe if we all ask really nicely...and say PLEASE!

As a longtime daily reader and first time commenter...

I'll second the plea for a new story/update! (Even a quick update on Trixie Tracker -- for those of us who aren't Beta-testing -- would be nice).

Is Trixie still going to daycare?

Tixie must have alot of patience, i would have been chewing on that "cane" long before, sucking it to a point :)

What about a story on your discipline techniques? I, for one, find your old-school sensibilities hilarious.

Judy- does it taste good? I'm imagining the icky taste I get in my mouth when I brush my teeth and then drink orange juice. Eww.

I'm jonesing for a new update, too.
I'd love love love a story (or "How To") on Trixie's potty training experience. I just don't get the whole potty training thing.

Been asking for awhile! An update of any kind...potty training, speech, daycare, anything! Ben is such an amazing writer I miss the stories!

I'm really glad that everyone likes the stories. It means a lot! thank you. But I just absolutely can not write anything right now because I am so busy coding. We are doing the final push to get the Trixie Tracker launched. We're finally at the launching in weeks (not months) stage. Once we launch, there will be major updates.

the peppermint stick in the orange is actually quite tasty - very holiday-esque. I think it is all the sugar from the peppermint that makes it yummy. The hardest part is just getting the peppermint stick into the orange (we use a wood skewer to get the hole started).

I for one, am also bored with TTU, and have lost all interest in the Trixie Tracker. I don't even check everyday anymore. No new pictures in '06, a week off for the holidays, no new stories even explaining the pictures. She's in daycare now, you should have a TINY amount of free time to create some kind of update. You're losing your target-Trixie-Tracker-buying-audience. I don't mean to be mean, just reiterating what previous commenters already pointed out.

No kidding, we've been through this before. It's a free site. Benmac's personal website about his daughter. If we were subscribing, and you had to pay for the daily entertainment, then you'd have something to complain about. But we're not. If you're bored, just don't come back.

I imagine it's hard to be creative when one's head is full of code AND childcare. I can't think of anything more draining.

Wow, a lot of people here have a liiiitttle too much time on their hands. Maybe, perhaps, focus on your own lives and let Ben live his the way he wants? I don't think Ben is in jeopardy of losing his target market....they probably aren't parents yet!

You are correct, Kristin. I'm not coming back anymore.

Is all this for real? People are actually taking the time to come to the site, then post about how they're dissatisfied, and then vow never to return? Are we to expect a site called firebenmac.com to be up and running by the end of the week? Here's what I say, Ben. Write your code, take Trixie to the park, take pictures of her with millions of fallen leaves, whatever your heart desires.

Either that or begin taking requests in order to mollify the masses. Whichever you think is best.

I agree with Kristen and the other who agrees with us. I come in everyday, for the photos and comments (That make sense!)Will be sticking with you till you get time to write more. Makes me sad when people are so selfish.
I thought the one with the awful name (sloopy.......)was already gone!!!

Yes, isn't Mr. Mac just the most selfish of the selfish? Failing to entertain the masses for free w/his lame excuses of making a living and taking care of a toddler while his wife is a resident! WTF??????

Mr. Mac never promised to entertain us all for life. I cannot believe anyone takes the time to post here about how terribly bored they are w/the site. Asking for stories, b/c we love them, is one thing, but acting entitled to them and being crazy and mean about it is another. Give Mac a break!

Ben, thank you for sharing your daughter with us all. I enjoy looking at her beautiful pictures every morning! I am a nanny for two little girls, ages 3 and 5 in Raleigh, heard about your site this past summer from a family I used to work for. Thanks again and keep up the awesome work!

Maddie and I still love Ben, Jenn, and Trixie. We may not comment as often, but that's because it's HARD to find time to do anything with a 2.5 year old. In other words, we understand!

We love the site! Can't wait to see the new tracker! Thanks for taking some time out of your day to add a bit of Trixie's sunshine to our day.

Ms. Trixie keep doing what you do best!

What is with all the people complaining, if you had to enter a credit card number and pay $15.00 a month then yup sure you would be angry with no story, but this is completely free and i cant ever remember reading i will post a new story all the time just to keep all u ppl who have nothing better then to sit in front of a computer waiting for a trixie story. I agree a new story would be great but i have a 2 yr old its not exactly easy to spend your time sitting in front of a computer writting a story that could take u up to maybe half an hour. Im sure for all of those who have kids u would just be able to imagine the mischief she gets up to.
Just seeing trixies gorgeous face is enuff to bring you to the website. You dont need a stry to read everyday.

No, thank you Ben. I love your site and have been coming to check out what new picture you've posted everyday for over a year. Your daughter is lovely and I really admire your dedication to her.

I haven't seen the website in over a year. I now have a 4 1/2 year old girl and a 19-month old little boy and what mischief does he get into! (So does she, but it's a different kind!)I'll keep looking now; she is such a beauty; you must be so proud! Don't listen to these people who are all upset that you aren't doing whatever it is they think you need to do. Just being with a child of this age is enough; she will always benefit from it and you will never regret it! I'll be sure to give my two an extra kiss tonight!
