Oh my... Some of your photographs have such a quality about them. Lovely. A bit like Andrew Wyeth here. (I think someone said that before!) A photograph like this one tells it's own story. Posted by: Marie at January 9, 2006 12:28 AM

Very cool picture. My favorite part is that it looks like you can actually see out the back window in the mirror's reflection. Is that right? Posted by: ShotgunDaddy at January 9, 2006 01:09 AM

Also want to comment on how clean the place looks-- i think it lends itself to the calm atmosphere of the shot. May not be reality but i see this picture and want to take a deep cleansing breath after everything has been set right over the weekend! Cheers- Posted by: Tamra at January 9, 2006 10:35 AM

Marie: thanks! morning light is fun to play with :) ShotgunDaddy: that's correct Tamra: Thanks for noticing. We are actually trying to keep the front room a little bit cleaner Posted by: benmac at January 9, 2006 10:39 AM

I was going to comment last night on how clean it was compared to... well, other times! But i didn't want to seem rude even thought that wasn't my intention! I definitely did notice that, though. It's great! Posted by: Summer at January 9, 2006 01:13 PM

She seems quite grown-up here, ready to head out the door to school. I'll send a few warm days your way - we've been in the 70's and 80's here since Christmas (and without rain for longer, which is making all these scary grass fires around here!). Posted by: Judy at January 9, 2006 01:43 PM

It almost seems to have a whole theme to it.Artistically it has a feel of going to school is opening a mysterious door to a new stage of life.Or am I just seeing too much into the shot? Posted by: Katie(20) at January 9, 2006 02:42 PM

It seems more like "where did the summer go?" to me. Posted by: Papa at January 9, 2006 05:21 PM

I have never commented before, but... This picture really reminds me of The Chronicles of Narnia - The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe - where magic glows through crack in the wardrobe door... Posted by: Becky at January 9, 2006 09:36 PM

It looks like such a pretty day....funny how the sun can trick you into thinking that just because it's shining that it's warm! I found this article and thought of you. Funny how working moms get the opposite feedback....that they should be at home with the kids! You're doing such a good job and Trixie is going to benefit from spending so much time with you compared to other kids and their dads. Posted by: Valerie at January 9, 2006 09:38 PM
