Dancing with Katz
We tried to keep the running, yelling and dancing to a minimum, but it's not easy. We ended up spending a lot more time outside than in the gallery.
We're spending all week at the North Carolina Museum of Art.
Photo taken February 26th, 2006.

We're yet to attempt a non-children's museum. Maybe a trip to the Natural History Museum or the Met might be in order.

Looks like Trixie's starting to skip her naps. My 2.5 yo naps at daycare and in the car. I couldn't tell you the last time he took a nap in his bed. He needs the nap, but he doesn't seem to think so.

No offense to Alex Katz, but Trixie is way more interesting than that painting. It's one of my least favorites in that whole museum.

I love the way her arms are moving so fast that you can't even see them! Go Trixie Go!

I was expecting that woman that scolded Ben and Trixie for the time Trixie ran in the library to show up on this thread.

Trixie seems to have the same expression as the gals in the painting, don't you think? Certainly not as vapid, however! She adds animation to the scene. Good early exposure to the arts for Trixie, plus it takes the snootiness factor down a notch at the museum! Everybody wins!!
