Morning on the couch
I'm really good at making piles of clean clothes. But that's as far as I get. Those clothes are still on the couch, and will probably stay there until all used up.

I often tell people that the biggest adjustment that comes with a growing family is the exponentially growing piles of laundry. Now that we've got three kids, we can't go more than a week without doing a wash. It's a nightmare. Posted by: ShotgunDaddy at May 26, 2006 12:07 AM

God, that is how it is here as well. I am the laundry queen when it comes to pre-treating, washing, drying and folding. However, putting it away, that's a whole 'nother story. Beautiful picture as always, Silly Posted by: Silly at May 26, 2006 12:42 AM

Ooh, I'm so guilty of this, too - in fact, I have a load in the dryer that has been there since Tuesday because I am too lazy to pull it out and fold it...I just keep walking by, turning it back on for about 15-20 minutes, convinced that THIS time I'll pull it out! I had no idea that I wasn't the only person in the universe with this stupid problem. I end up moving our piles of folded laundry into our bedroom, then they fall on the floor, become unfolded, and get mixed in w/dirty clothes so that we don't know what's what. Why even fold them in the first place? I guess I can't let go of the idea that one day I'll actually be the type of person who puts them in dresser drawers. Posted by: hannah at May 26, 2006 10:09 AM

Laundry is such a tedious chore. If you’re in a hurry and can’t find any clean clothes, do the Scratch and Sniff test; If you can scratch the stains off and it smells clean, it good enough for me Posted by: Cyn at May 26, 2006 06:46 PM

I solved my inability of putting clean clothes away by marrying a man that likes to put clothes away properly. Either that or he is just sick of stepping over my piles. Also, I can totally relate with Judy's comment of just starting the dryer again... I think some of our loads get "refluffed" about 5 times before my husband steps in. I don't put away laundry either, but my piles are much worse, because we don't have a washer and dryer. So we did like rats through two weeks worth. Sometimes I go to the laundromat without having put away the previous time's! Posted by: Michele at May 27, 2006 07:01 PM
