Oil cloth
We're moving up in the world. We can finally afford to get a snazzy oil cloth table cloth. And I stuck some on one of the chairs. Jennifer is happy.
BTW, the year-ago-today TPOD is awesome :) Photo taken May 30th, 2006. Age: 33 months. | |

Oh, that is not 'one more chip'! That has to be "one more cream cheese stuffed rangoon, if you please????!!!" I'm sure. Posted by: Liz B. at May 31, 2006 01:20 AM

I love this site! It's so awesome. According to Martha Stewart, oilcloth and that design is definitly in style... but I guess you probably already knew that. Thanks for the pics! Posted by: Maggie at May 31, 2006 09:43 AM

Oh yeah. I got a suggestion for a new CD for Trixie. It's the new Curious George sountrack with Jack Johnson. I love it... and I'm 15. It's just a really clean and easy listen that doesn't sound like a traditional kid album. I think you guys would like it... Posted by: Maggie at May 31, 2006 09:45 AM

Ha!! I wish I weren't old enough to remember oil cloth the FIRST time around! It is essential when you have children in the house. I love the retro look... Posted by: Marie at May 31, 2006 06:23 PM

Hey! Did you steal that tablecloth from my Grandma? ;-) Posted by: Michele at May 31, 2006 10:58 PM

We found an oilcloth / picnic tablecloth at KMart when we began using the highchair a year or so ago. Now, at 2, my daughter still likes to fling her food about, so the trusty oilcloth/plastic tablecloth is still in service. Easy wipe and even washable. Maybe it's not technically "oilcloth" but it works for us. Posted by: Abbycat at June 1, 2006 05:25 PM

Great thing about the oil cloths is that they are realllly cheap....Walmart, Target, etc.... They do have "seasonal oil cloths" for those of us who are inclined to imitate "Martha"!!! I used them in my classroom for the centers. Really cute ones around Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc......... Great idea for under the high chair, Abbycat!!!
