Looks as if flying comes natural to her. Maybe one day she will become a pilot. :-)

Wow ...that looks like fun!
Wish I could do that right now.

Would be better than all my other vices that keep me hostage.

Yes... A big push on a swing would solve all my problems.

OK, not to get too philosophical at 7:30 in the morning... but has anyone else realized the effect that this blog has been having on the readers?

In general, most folks don't remember this time of their lives. And I personally think it's the photos of Trixie exploring the world that have done it to me... but it's kinda' like remembering all of the simple pleasures in life.

As Debi just said "a big push on a swing would solve all my problems."

Remember when it did?

:)

[Note to a future Trixie: When you're old enough to read this blog - go hug your Dad. He's given you something that most of us can only wish we had - solid, daily memories of your childhood. And besides... you were on a swing today while the rest of us were at work.]

Hi Jeff,

Just wanted to say thanks for that. And I totally agree with Debi about big pushes :)

Jeff - not to get all sappy, but your Note was truly heartfelt and so very true! Thanks for saying what I (and probably most readers) have felt for a long time. TTU has brought joy to my life everyday for the past 2 years. And I can't thank Ben enough.

Ditto to Jeff and lori. I really appreciate all the work you put into this, benmac. Checking TTU is one of the highlights of my day. Thanks!

Not only has this blog dusted off some memories for me, but it also is kind of a living "What to Expect" book in child rearing. I look at what Trixie was doing at a certain age to give me an idea of what I should expect with my son. Ben, you're awesome. I don't know how you find the time to do it all, but I guess you're good a prioritizing. Want to teach us all how to do that too?

Hey, Ben should write a parenting what-to-expect
kind of comedy-like book thingy. I know, I sound like I'm nine years old. And I'm okay with that, because I am nine years old. Suprising, huh? (I'm not lying. I really am nine!)

My 30+ yr old daughter is a 5th grade teacher.

When she was in college, she had to write a children's book to be published.

The title is IF YOU JUST LOOK UP. It tells of her childhood memories of us (her brother, sister,me and herself) laying on the lawn in the backyard and pretending the clouds in the sky were different animals and other images.

She gave me the first copy that was dedicated to me.

I now have a granddughter that is Trixie's age and I bring out that book and read it to her
when she comes over for a sleepover. Of course, she has no idea her mother wrote that book, but she will someday.

Talk about the simple things in life having so much meaning !!!!!!!
