Man, she looks about EIGHT in this pic! Well, minus the 5-point harness, LOL.

That is GREAT that she enjoys raw veggies like that! Red peppers are delish!

Red pepper is great. Its even better dipped in hummus. Its even better dipped in *spicy* hummus... though that one may be best saved for when Trixie is actually 8 and not just impersonating one.

I'm afraid of what tomorrow's picture will be. She already looks too grown up!

How in the world do you get her to eat vegetables voluntarily? My son will absolutely not eat veggies ever since we took him off baby food. He loved them in puree form but in small bites he is just not interested. Please tell me your secret!

Valerie: Benmac might have a secret, but I think that kids either like veggies or don't. They are just little people and lots of people don't like veggies. Our little one loves everything from peppers to collards! Now that's a secret!!!!
Maybe it is the "texture" thing you alluded to.
Try some sweet yummy carrots (same texture/crunchy) and see how he does. I always cut them in circles and ask if she wants them cut like money. Crazy, but it works!! Good luck!

Yes, we got a Scion xB last year. (The Jetta AC died, and fixing it would have cost more than the car was worth.) It's pretty sweet and awesome for kids as Daddy Types points out.

Is there a secret to getting Trixie to eat veggies? I don't know. The only thing I can say is that I've never given her a choice *not* to eat them. I've never made an alternate 'kid friendly' dinner for her. She always eats what we eat, and so I try to make a healthy meal. And she has to at least try everything.

When I bring her snacks, I don't usually give her a choice. Or if I do, it's between a fruit and a veggie. Making her try everything definitely leads to some fights, but she accepts it as a given now and rarely protests -- even when trying new food.

It looks like she might be close to outgrowing her car seat. Have you checked to she where her shoulders are in relation to the top slots? They need to be below the top slots for forward facing and the mid point of the head cant be above the top of she shell. The photo makes it look like its time to start looking at your options for a combination booster (She needs a 5 point harness until she is at least 5 so be sure to get one that has high top slots as she appears to be rather tall and you dont want her to outgrow it before she's ready for a booster)
