The little kitten is growing like crazy. And, according to Trixie, is "wild". Every time Trixie comes back from visiting, it looks like she's been playing with a box of razor blades.
Photo taken June 26th, 2006.
Age: 34 months.

OK, that does it. The kitten is not cute anymore...Those precious eyes are not worth the cute photos! Yes, I'm sure the kitty is wild...time to put it out of its misery. Nevermind that Trixie has a death grip on it. And, nevermind that Trixie probably "holds" it in a way only a 34 month old child is going to hold a "wild" animal. You know I'm a dog person. Sorry. Get that kitty's paw outta Trixie's eye!!! OK, well, the TINY kitten photos were cute. But that's as far as I'm going....

Ok, I absolutely LOVE the thumbnail.

On an unrelated note, my 8 month old has recently learned to crawl and already has discovered that "chase the kitty" is one of the best games ever.

Has Trixie stopped napping? That has me seriously worried about my own sanity in the coming months, having a son just a few months younger than Trixie...

Unfortunately, it is getting really hard to get her to nap.

Ben,

My friend has a son Trixie's age who proclaims he doesn't like naps anymore. (But we all know he & Trixie regret it when they're our age!) She calls nap time, "quiet time." Quiet time is an hour or so in his room by himself. He can sleep or play in his room...quietly. The key is that he can't leave the room.

This teaches him to be content to be by himself for a while, but most importantly, she can have time to herself and do whatever she needs to or WANTS to! Seems to work for her. Hope you can try it with Trixie.

Best,
Lori :)

we also do the quiet time thing with our kids, ages 3,7,14 and it works most of the time. our 3 year old stopped napping months ago!
