We've been here before
The vehicle has changed, but my view hasn't.

Something else funny is that Trixie sometimes chants a little mantra when she's in the groove and pedaling hard: "Wasawusu, wasawusu, wasawusu." It's from the book Why Mosquitoes Buzz in People's Ears. Oddly, it's what the snake says. But if that's what gets her up the hill, then so be it. I've suggested, "I think I can, I think I can", but she's happy with "wasawusu".

And soon enough, the training wheels will be gone. Try getting her a scooter. She'll learn how to balance and feel her center of gravity out of necessity, so she won't have to learn that part when she decides to ditch the training wheels. We went that route with my daughter, and she was riding freely on her first attempt at two wheels. Quite amazing.

What, no knee and elbow pads ? My son was a daredevil, he definately needed them. It's unbelievable how fast Trixie has grown.

I see that she has a bell. Does she use it yet?

But, more importantly...where are the tassels??? Doesn't every girl's first bike have to have tassels? My purple Schwinn did. Then again, I was about 5 years old when I got my first two-wheeler.

That's cool that they make them now in Trixie-size.

Happy riding Trixie! :)

Trixie sure is getting big. I hope the weather by you has cooled off some as it has here. A week ago it was too hot to ride a bike! Kids do say the cutest things when they are busy doing something.

I like it. Just curious, though, do you censor the part of Mosquitoes about the dead babies? I used to and it always made me feel like such a Pollyanna - and I hate a Pollyanna more than anything - give me a negative creep any day. Anyway, I had to stop reading this cool book b/c of the Pollyanna dilemma.
