I really like this pic. Although I do feel sort of claustorphobic looking at it. Seems such a small space for sooo many people. I do hope this isn't the end of The Trixie Update...I will miss it. Posted by: Jenie at September 1, 2006 08:25 AM

I really like this pic, though I can't pinpoint why. I've been to New York. Maybe I like the pic because it pretty well captures the feel of being in the city street... maybe it's the leading line towards the skyline buried at the end of the buildings. Posted by: Patti at September 1, 2006 08:58 AM

The tilted perspective makes me feel like I'm on a carnival ride. I guess that captures the essense of big cities for me altogether. Other-worldly, garish and claustaphobic. I do like the photo in that it 'feels' silent, in spite of all the crowded atmosphere. We are seeing the city from a behind a glass window. I feel like the bus is a glass bubble of some sort. It is fairly disconcerting. Makes me happy to be living in the wide open spaces of the desert! Posted by: Helen at September 1, 2006 10:11 AM

Maybe they took a trip to the Bronx? To show Trixie where Mom & Dad lived. Maybe we're seeing the Bronx from Trixie's perspective? Posted by: lori at September 1, 2006 10:22 AM

Ben, I might be pushing it a bit...but does this have anything to do with the fact that a certain sad September anniversary is coming up? Are we seeing NYC in a 'before' light? Posted by: momwannabe at September 1, 2006 11:37 AM

Momwannabe, I can't imagine that!!!!!! Posted by: at September 1, 2006 11:39 AM

Ooops! Sorry, I didn't see the date. Too early for me. It was 7:22 AM PST when I wrote that. Thanks for pointing that out, Anonymous. Still...I've always thought it would be cool to see things from Trixie's perspective. This IS The Trixie Update. Only Trixie would be giving us the update. Kinda new to this sight so I don't know what's going on but why is everybody reading into it too much? Is it really that unusual to post other pictures? Benmac if your trying to give subtle hints wink your eyes 2 times so we'll know. Posted by: at September 1, 2006 05:30 PM

Great shot Ben, it reminds me of a line from Crocodile Dundee.. "New York must be the friendlest city in the world, if seven millon people want to live there together!" It's your blog, and I will always peak, but Trixie is such a great/beautifull subject. Posted by: Tom at September 1, 2006 05:59 PM

I think most of people are just fooling around and obviously don't have much to do. Kinda like those people who are always checking into the sports blogs!!!!! Just so. And, we are all helping benmac break yesterday's record of posts. tee tee Posted by: at September 1, 2006 07:09 PM

If BenMac, wants to go a different way with this blog thats cool. I Love Trixie best! but it's his blog, if our hit's are being monitored/sold, that's wrong! I do not think (hope) Ben does not care about "hit's. But business is business. Ben?? Posted by: Tom at September 1, 2006 10:50 PM

Tom, the count of hits was just a joke, man... Posted by: at September 1, 2006 11:27 PM

This fits right in with the multiple times Isaac requires me to read "The Wheels on the Bus" each day. Posted by: Nicole R. at September 1, 2006 11:37 PM

Tom, First of all, why would it be "wrong" to have hits "monitored" as you say? Who do you think pays for all of this bandwidth all these hits are using? Ben and Jenn do. I'm also confused by your "business is business" remark. I don't know about you, but I don't see any ads on this site. I honestly couldn't blame them if they did. Whoa folks, I was just teasing Ben! I know there are no ad's, and I would name blame him one bit if there were! He has created a wonderful blog, and I beleive all sights have hit counts. Posted by: Tom at September 2, 2006 09:57 PM
