So, this is the view from where you lived in NY? Aha!!! And, or at least, where little Miss Trixie was conceived!!!! Look at the age....you are so clever Benmac. I love it. Keep it up.

Ooh, look at the pretty fall colors!

Ben, if the hunch of a few of the commenters is correct that you might be moving this blog away from its original concept, I can understand why you might think it's time to move on. Trixie's older and knows she is her own person now, and maybe you and Jenn believe she deserves some privacy. That's commendable. (I know you already think about these things, since you discontinued diaper telemetry for a similar reason.) Thanks for all the good times and beautiful photos.

to Liz and the poster above me...... Please, please, watch your comments.... I like for my children to view the TTU each day....they are old enough to read and now I feel like I am going to have to answer questions about the "birds and bees" much much too early in their young lives. I want them to remain innocent for as long as possible and thought this would be a "kid friendly" site, but you are making me nervous and I am beginnning to wonder if there should be any blogs about our children on the internet at all. Maybe benmac has already seen where this is going and that is why he is changing the format. After all, we MUST proctect our children.

Indeed a 'Fall' photo...the trees and the wet street and the light on in the doorway, which makes me think of the days getting shorter. It's always a mixture of sad and exciting. Fall will always mark the 'new year' for me - emotions that remain from all those years of back to school.

When pics stopped for short intervals before, Ben always shared with us that a break was coming up (vacation, etc.). He definitely has a reason for not sharing that with us now or he WOULD tell us. For my 2 cents worth, I say let's just respect his judgment and privacy and enjoy the pics he is still posting without bugging anyone in any way. Trixie and family do not belong to us (though it FEELS like they do)! We are all spoiled to the exceptional pics and info and humor of the past 3 years. I want to enjoy those (and these) pictoral memories and be patient for whatever happens. I'm just grateful for those past 3 years. That has been a LOT of work for Ben. Thank you, guys.

To the parent worried about censorship on a blog: It's a blog! On the Internet! Read at your own risk! If your children are old enough to read, they've been exposed to a lot more than you may realize. The world around us is full of wonderful learning opportunities. How you respond to them makes all the difference.

my goodness - everyone is sure quick to jump to conclusions. And jump all over each other with their fangs ready, too.

Why is it such a big deal that Ben is posting pictures that aren't of Trixie? It does not seem like a sign of the apocolypse to me.

Whew! Wait! I apologize for using the "c" word...I admit I got caught up in the guessing game of why Ben was showing pics from a while back. Yes, I tired of people requesting, demanding even, that Ben let his readers know the reason for no Trixie pics. So, I gave my guess. I would respond with care to the above parent and even to the one who stung me with the comment of "get a life," but neither posted their names. I guess Ben knows who they are. He also knows who I am....as well as his Mother, Father and sister. They are friends. I would not intentionally say anything contrary to him, nor did I realize that this site for parents was being read by children..... But, there are plenty of wonderful books out there that I believe would be more enjoyable for your children. See Ben's pics about Trixie's books. And, to the unnamed poster who thinks I would like to see the inside of 17-H....not for the reason you think. Ben is a fabulous artist and his art was always evident throughout the house. Humorous, thought-provoking, fascinating...showing the wonderful imagination he has. Just like this site. It has been special to witness his creativity about his lovely family. And I've enjoyed seeing the wonderful Father and husband he has become. He also has a wicked sense of humor and, I took delight in noticing his subtle hint about the significance of the picture. Sorry I caused such an uproar. And if I have offended you, Ben, my humble apologies. Elizabeth

As long as we're speculating on random theories...maybe it all has something to do with the way Trixie's been skipping her naps lately. She's just gone seven straight days with no nap! Her previous record had been three days, so she's more than doubled it in one go....
