Ching Kee Prawn Flavored Chips

These things have been in our pantry for over 3 years. I'm not sure what possessed Jennifer to fry them up last night, but it was a pretty interesting process to watch. They start out as slick, plastic wafers. A quick immersion in a cast-iron skilletful of veggie oil makes them puff like styrofoam peanuts. Trixie was pretty impressed.
